Diogo jota dies: Zamora’s Provincial Council said in an official statement: “Two young people died in a car accident on the A-52 near Palacios de Sanabria. The Rionegro del Puente Fire Station responded.”
“The car caught fire, and the flames spread to nearby plants. The victims were 28 and 26 years old. Rest in peace.”
Jota, born in Porto, started playing football in the youth teams of Pacos de Ferreira. In 2016, he moved to Atletico Madrid but was immediately loaned back to FC Porto for one season. Later, in 2017-18, he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on loan.
He never played a La Liga game for Atletico but quickly made a name for himself with his sharp goal-scoring after joining Wolves permanently.
Jota reached the best part of his club career at Liverpool. Playing under Jurgen Klopp, he helped the team win the FA Cup and the League Cup, becoming an important player in Liverpool’s attack.
Diogo jota dies: In the 2024/25 season, he helped Liverpool win the Premier League under new manager Arne Slot. He also had success with Portugal’s national team, winning the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and 2025.
At 28 years old, Jota was known for his smart positioning, hard work pressing opponents, and scoring important goals, making him one of Portugal’s most dependable forwards.
