The Tigra was developed and made at MG Group’s modern factory in Belagavi, Karnataka. Built on a 13.5-meter coach chassis, it is aimed at the high-end travel market in both India and abroad. The Tigra combines stylish design with smart, practical features and sets a new standard for intercity and tourist travel.
MG Group Launches Tigra Luxury Coach and Reveals New Brand Identity
MG Group has launched the Tigra, its first fully in-house designed and super-premium intercity coach, at its “RE: BORN” event in Bengaluru. The company has also introduced a new corporate and brand identity, marking a major step in its transformation into a brand-led and mobility solutions provider.
Built at MG Group’s advanced facility in Belagavi, Karnataka, the Tigra is designed for the 13.5-meter coach chassis platform. It targets the high-end travel market in India and abroad, offering a mix of elegant design and practical innovation.
Key Features of the Tigra:
- ABS-moulded interiors with no sharp edges or visible screws for better safety and a clean, modern look
- Ambient lighting and premium seats to enhance comfort and give a luxury feel
- Distinctive full-length LED DRLs with a heartbeat-style design for a stylish, modern appearance
- PU-moulded passenger handles for added safety and convenience

New Brand Identity:
As a part of its transformation, MG Group has also revealed a new logo and identity. The updated logo shows a smooth flow from ‘M’ to ‘G’ and is inspired by the shape of a hexagonal bolt, symbolizing strength, precision, and innovation.

Speaking about the company’s transformation, Anil Mohan Kamat, Chairman and Managing Director of MG Group, said:

MG’s Belagavi facility—equipped with new investments in tools, jigs, and quality systems—is ready to handle increasing demand. The company has already built over 125,000 bus bodies, serving sectors like schools, staff transport, defence, ambulances, and premium intercity services.
