PM Modi Strengthens Cultural Ties with Trinidad & Tobago

During visit to Trinidad and Tobago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revised tribute to the enduring cultural and spiritual ties between India and the Caribbean nation.PM Modi recalled on how Indian community in Trinidad & Tobago had contributed to the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and said that he brought a replica of the temple with same and pure devotion.

He spoke up with reverence about the community’s gesture of sending sacred water and stones (Shilas) for the temple, highlighting their devotion to Lord Ram. In Ramcharitmanas, it is said, “The holy city of Lord Ram is so beautiful that its glory is praised across the world. I’m sure that you all welcomed the return of Ram Lalla to Ayodhya after 500 years with great joy.

As a symbolic act of reciprocity, PM Modi presented a replica of the Ram Mandir and sacred water from the Sarayu River in Ayodhya, as well as from the Mahakumbh from Prayagraj, to Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar. He have described this offering as a token of shared devotion and a bridge between two cultures deeply rooted with the spiritual heritage.

This event was marked by warmth respect, with PM Persad-Bissessar and her cabinet members in attendance. In a gesture of appreciation, she announced that PM Modi would be honored with the nation’s highest civilian award, The Order of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago.

PM Modi later have shared this moment on social media, saying that all these gifts symbolises with the cultural and spiritual connection between two nation.
