Pawan Kalyan Says His Movie Ticket Was Sold for Just Rs 10
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan criticized the previous YSRCP government, saying his movie ticket was sold for just Rs 10

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan criticized the previous YSRCP government, saying his movie ticket was sold for just Rs 10, while tickets for other actors’ movies were priced at Rs 100.
Pawan Kalyan said his fight was not about the money or breaking records but also about the standing for justice.
The actor-politician made this statement while speaking at the pre-release event of his upcoming movie Hari Hara Veera Mallu on Monday night.
Pawan Kalyan said his only mistake was giving a flop film, and after that, he never fully regained his hold in the film industry.

He also admitted that he didn’t have big directors working with him. However, he praised with director Trivikram for supporting him and giving him a hit with Jalsa.
Recalling the release of his film Bheemla Nayak, Pawan Kalyan said that while tickets for other movies were priced at Rs 100, his movie tickets were sold for just Rs 10–15.
“That day, I said, ‘Who the hell can stop us?’ It wasn’t about money or breaking records—it was about courage. I stood for justice,” said Pawan Kalyan, also known as the Power Star, as fans cheered loudly.
He said he never tried to set the records and only wanted to live like a common man.
Addressing his fans, he called them his true strength. “If I’ve come this far, fallen and risen in politics, it’s all because of you. I have no weapons, no goondas—I only have my fans in my heart,” said the Jana Sena Party leader.
Pawan Kalyan told his fans that it has been 30 years since he entered the film industry. He said that even though he has grown older, his spirit remains strong.
He shared a memory from the time he was working on Gabbar Singh, when a fan asked him to deliver a hit. That wish came true with director Harish Shankar. Pawan added that he did the film during a tough phase in his life.
“Johnny failed, but my fans never left me,” Pawan Kalyan said. “Since many relationships are tied to money, I returned my payment. I’ve always valued relationships.”
He shared that Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a special film for him. Set to release on July 24, it will be his first movie to hit theaters since becoming the deputy Chief minister last year.
The actor said the film took five years to make and faced many challenges, but he always stood by producer A.M. Rathnam.
He also revealed that although he had learned many martial arts earlier, he had to retrain for the role. Jokingly, he added, “I’ve faced real-life goondas and rowdies in politics, but I struggled to act like one in front of the camera.”
