
The Delhi government has announced an entrance test for admission to Classes 6 to 8 in 33 CM Shri schools for the 2025–26 academic year.
The admission test will be held on August 30, 2025.
Students can apply from July 30 to August 15 through the official process.
This test is for selected CM Shri schools out of the 75 proposed.
CM Shri Schools Admission 2025: Admit Card, Result & Admission Dates
Admit cards will be available from August 23, 2025
Results will be announced on September 10, 2025
Final admissions will be completed by September 15, 2025

Exam Pattern & Language
The entrance test will be OMR-based and objective-type.
It will be conducted in both Hindi and English.
The test will have 5 sections:
- Hindi
- English
- General Awareness
- Mental Ability
- Numerical Aptitude
- Duration & Accessibility
Total time: 150 minutes (2.5 hours) - Extra time will be given to Children With Special Needs (CWSN)
- No negative marking
- Test centres will be set up in schools across Delhi to make access easier
Eligibility & Reservations
The test is open to the students living in Delhi and studying in recognised Delhi-based schools for the academic year 2025–26.
50% of the seats will be reserved for the students from government or government-aided schools, including:
- DoE schools
- MCD schools
- NDMC schools
- Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs)
- Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs)

CM Shri Schools Admission 2025: Reservation & Relaxation
A 5% relaxation in eligibility marks will be given to:
- SC/ST students
- OBC (non-creamy layer) students
- Children With Special Needs (CWSN)
- This is in line with the existing government policy.

CM Shri Schools are being developed as model public schools, aligned with:
- National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
- National Curriculum Framework 2023

Budget & Affiliation:
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced a ₹100 crore budget for this initiative in her budget speech. These schools follow the vision of the central PM Shri scheme. The Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) will be phased out, and CM Shri Schools will be affiliated with CBSE.
