The 97th Award Academy were full of surprises, emotions and unforgettable moments. Among to them many films had made to the headlines, Wicked have stood out with it’s stunning visuals and also some powerful performances too. But what about Superman? It had not made to the final cut for the best picture but fans are buzzing about the chances earlier in this season.
Wicked’s Magical Run
Wicked is based on the famous musical broadway, which was one of the most talked film of the year. Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda this movie have brought magic, music and emotions to the big screen. It was nominated ten times for the best picture, Best Actress and also best Supporting Actress.
Although Wicked didn’t win Best Picture
But it did take home two Oscars: Best Costume Design and the Best Production Design. These wins have showed how much effort went into creating the film’s into a magical world. Paul Tazewell is the the costume designer have made history as the first Black man to win in that category
Who Took the Crown?
The winner of the night was Anora an independent film that went to the Oscars with total five awards, which includes the Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress. It’s success have showed the heartfelt storytelling and strong performances that still rules everyone heart.
