The original series recently completed 25 golden years on July 3. The promo for the new season was supposed to come out on the same day, but it got delayed due to some creative and some production issues.

Now, the makers have finally released the first promo of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, and it brings back Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay as Tulsi and Mihir Virani — two of Indian TV’s most loved characters.

The promo starts with a modern family sitting at a restaurant and talking about how much they loved the original show. Then the scene shifts to Tulsi role, who is seen watering a tulsi plant at her home — a moment that feels very familiar to longtime fans. Then she says the show is coming back after 25 years.
