San Diego is all wrapped up for one of its most anticipated traditions—Big Bay Boom 2025 with the West Coast’s largest Fourth of July fireworks show. As excitement builds up and Google Trends light up with all the searches, locals and visitors are preparing for a memorable night of celebration along with the city’s stunning waterfront.
The show starts at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4, with fireworks launching from four barges surrounded across San Diego Bay. This have transformed the whole color of the sky drawing attention of thousands of people coming in front of shoreline to get the front row seat.

With a massive crowd attendes are encouraged to ditch the plan of their own car and instead of this use public transport. The Metropolitian Transit System is now expanding tolley trains and Bus services for the holiday and their Friends can ride for free.
If you drive, free parking is also available at Port metres though time limits will be applied. To avoid such parking issue, apps like ParkWhiz and SpotHero will allow you to enforce booking in advance.

- Drones are also prohibited and no new permits will be issued.
- Boaters must stay at least 1,000 feet away from the fireworks barges and watch for patrol boats with the flashing of yellow lights.

This year, the Port is doubling down on sustainability. In response to new guidelines from the California Coastal Commission, they’re implementing:
