Fake Consulate Busted in Uttar Pradesh; One Arrested with Suspected Arms Dealer Links
The Uttar Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force has discovered a fake embassy running in Ghaziabad and arrested a man who were claimed to be a diplomat of a fake country called "West Arctica"

The Uttar Pradesh Police’s Special Task Force has discovered a fake embassy running in Ghaziabad and arrested a man who were claimed to be a diplomat of a fake country called “*“, a senior official said on Wednesday, July 23.
The accused, Harsh Vardhan Jain, who lives in Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad, was arrested on Tuesday July 22.
According to the STF’s Noida unit, early investigations show that Jain was cheating companies and people by falsely promising job placements in abroad and acting as a middleman in such deals.
The STF said that Harsh Vardhan Jain is also suspected of running a hawala racket using fake companies. To fool people, he used doctored photos showing himself with the Prime Minister, President, and other top leaders.

Additional Director General of Police Amitabh Yash said Jain was operating the fake embassy from a rented house, pretending to be a consul or ambassador of made-up countries like West Arctica, Saborga, Poulvia, and Lodonia. He even used vehicles with fake diplomatic number plates to look official and gain people’s trust.
During questioning, it was revealed that Harsh Vardhan Jain had past links with the controversial godman Chandraswami and international arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi. In 2011, he was also booked in a case involving an illegal satellite phone.
After his arrest on Tuesday, the STF seized:
- 4 vehicles with fake diplomatic number plates
- 12 fake diplomatic passports of fictional countries
- Fake documents stamped with the Ministry of External Affairs seal
- 2 fake PAN cards
- 34 rubber stamps of various companies and countries
- 2 fake press cards
- Rs 44.7 lakh in cash
- Foreign currency
- Documents of several companies
- 18 fake diplomatic number plates
An FIR has been filed at Kavi Nagar police station, and further investigation is underway, the STF said.
