Actor and racer Ajith Kumar crashed his car but was not injured during the GT4 European Series race in Italy. The crash had happened at the Misano track during the second round of the series. After the crash, the Tamil star stayed behind to help clean up debris from the track and something rarely done by racers, earning him a lot of respect.

Ajith Kumar Helps Clear Debris After Crash at GT4 European Series

The official X (formerly Twitter) page of the GT4 European Series shared a video showing Ajith Kumar after his car was rash during the race. He had collided with a stationary car on the track but was not injured. The caption read, “Out of the race with damage, but still happy to help with the clean-up. Full respect, Ajith Kumar.”

In the video, Ajith is seen standing near his car and checking the debris. One of the commentators says, “There’s Ajith Kumar out of the car, out of the race, and that’s really the first significant bit of damage we’ve seen from him this year.”

Despite being out of the race, Ajith begins picking up debris from the track while the race continues. Another commentator adds, “Because he’s a fine chap, he goes and helps the marshals clear up all the body work. Not many drivers would do that.”

Ajith Kumar’s Recent Racing Career

Ajith Kumar began his racing journey in 2003 with Formula BMW Asia and later competed in the Formula 2 Championship in 2010. After taking a break, he returned to racing this year by joining the 24H Series. He made his comeback with his own team, Ajith Kumar Racing, competing in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup category.

Ajith Kumar’s Film Plans and Recent Work

Ajith Kumar hasn’t announced any new film projects yet, as he plans to focus on racing and will sign films only after the season were ends. He was recently awarded with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions to Indian cinema. This year, he was last seen in Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi and Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly.
