The Family Man Season 3 Is Here — And Jaideep Ahlawat May Just Steal the Show

Having been treated to two seasons of action-packed, laugh-out-loud, and a little-middle-class-messy goodness, The Family Man is here again. And even though this time the limelight does not exclusively showcase Manoj Bajpayee’s Srikant Tiwari alone, it also glows on Jaideep Ahlawat, who is ready to take over Season 3.

Yup, that’s what it says. While giving an interview recently, Bajpayee teased the audience by revealing that the new addition belongs to Jaideep, pointing towards a script-rewriting new character entering the narrative. No surprise then, fans are already abuzz.

So, What’s New in Season 3?

Having taken care of the Pakistan and Sri Lanka threats in the previous seasons, Season 3 will be taking care of tensions that are building up in India’s northeast — above all, the complicated China relationship. It is a delicate task and the way the makers are being realistic and sensitive geopolitics.

Watch out for cyber attacks, shadow militias, and some gruesome jungle fighting. If Season 2 was gritty, this one’s been promised darker, deeper, and emotional — particularly for Srikant.

Jaideep Ahlawat Joins the Family (Man)

Best remembered for his performance in Paatal Lok, Jaideep Ahlawat is used to enacting tough roles. Though the makers have little to comment on his role, gossip has it that he might be essaying the role of an outlawed agent or a rebel commander. Whatever it is, Manoj Bajpayee’s enthusiasm towards his act says it all.

> He’s raised the bar to a completely new level. Jaideep owns this season,\” said Bajpayee — and rightfully so, we’d bet on it.

Two giants of Indian acting in one show? It’s the crossover we didn’t know we deserved.

Srikant 2.0: More Tired, More Dangerous

Of course, The Family Man wouldn’t be the same without the lovable-yet-lethal Srikant Tiwari. This time, we’re seeing a different side of him. Balancing a 9-to-5 desk job, a moody teenage daughter, and a possibly nation-threatening mission in the northeast, Srikant is going through it — but in his own sarcastic, understated way.

Bajpayee insisted that Srikant will be “more tired and more lethal,” which is pretty much perfect for a guy who’s been rescuing the nation in between being co-surfaced by his kids and having carpool duty.

When Can We See

Amazon Prime Video has not scheduled a date yet, but going by insider sources, Season 3 is targeting early 2025, probably around Republic Day. Shoot is underway, and a teaser will soon make an appearance in the year.

The show will once again maintain the 9-episode structure similar to earlier years, with every episode being 40–50 minutes in length. And yes, give those cliffhangers on the verge of nails.

Raj & DK Are Back in the Driver’s Seat

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. (aka Raj & DK), screenwriters, are back with their trademark storytelling — a blend of humor, suspense, and veiled political commentary. They’re also said to be developing a shared spy world, so buckle up for cameos by characters from Farzi (yes, Shahid Kapoor’s one).

It’s ambitious, but if anyone is going to make it work, it’s this team.

Why It Matters

The Family Man is no ordinary show. It’s intelligent, topical, and realistic. It’s whether it’s taking care of national security or Srikant getting scolded by his daughter, it feels authentic. The show is also exploring underrepresented locations, geographically and thematically, by moving the action to the northeast this season.

With Jaideep Ahlawat involved, it’s just fuel to the fire. It’s no longer just about spies — it’s about power, identity, and what it’s like to defend your nation from the ground up.

With high-stakes action, killer performances, and plot twists around every bend, Season 3 of The Family Man is the most anticipated show on the calendar. No matter why you’re tuning in — if it’s Srikant’s one-liners, the breakneck pace of the action, or just to see Jaideep Ahlawat turn things on their head — fear not: you won’t be let down.

Buckle up — the mission’s only just beginning.
