Beginning of July is a fresh start for students  to get back to their academic routine after a long refreshing break. When its time for holiday in july 2025 this months offer several  breaks, schools may offer certain  holidays.

July 2025 School Holidays (India)

Muharram:

Is a public holiday which is typically taken as a academic break which is tentatively scheduled for  6 or 7 July 2025.

Rath Yatra:

celebration  on  7 july 2025 , schools will remain closed on this occasion.

Kanwar Yatra:

During Kawar schools will remains closed in Noida, Ghaziabad and Haridwar but mainly announcements are made on that time only.

College Holidays in July 2025

Muharram Holiday

Tentative Date: dates are mainly selected by seeing the moon sighting (6 or 7) July2025.

2nd & 4th Saturdays: Colleges mainly observe holidays on July 12 (2nd Sat) and July 26 (4th Sat).

Including schools banks will also remain closed July 2025 total of 13 days, including Sundays, Saturdays and occasions.

  • July 5 (Saturday):  Guru Hargobind Ji’s Birthday – Holiday in Jammu and Srinagar.

  • July 14 (Monday):  Beh Deinkhlam – holiday Observed in Shillong
  • July 16 (Wednesday):  Harela – Celebrated in Dehradun
  • July 17 (Thursday):  Death Anniversary of U Tirot Singh – ceremony Observed in Shillong
  • July 19 (Saturday):  Ker Puja – National Bank holiday in Agartala
  • July 20 (Sunday):  Weekly off – Nationwide
  • July 26 (Saturday):  Fourth Saturday – Nationwide closure
  • July 27 (Sunday):  Weekly off – Nationwide
  • July 28 (Monday):  Drukpa Tshe-zi – National Bank holiday in Gangtok
