US President Donald Trump has given a strong message to the big tech companies like Google and Microsoft, telling them to stop hiring workers from other countries, including India. Speaking at an AI Summit in Washington on Wednesday, Trump said American companies should focus on creating jobs in the US instead of opening factories in China or hiring Indian tech workers.

Speaking at the event, Donald Trump criticized big tech companies for having a “globalist mindset,” saying it has left many Americans feeling left out. He accused that top tech firms of enjoying the benefits of American freedom while building factories in China, hiring workers in India, and keeping profits in countries like Ireland.

He said that “Under President Trump, those days are over.”

Trump also added that winning the AI race will require a new sense of patriotism and loyalty from the companies in Silicon Valley and beyond.

Donald Trump, speaking at the AI Summit, urged American tech companies to fully support the U.S. and put the country first. “We need US technology companies to be all in for America. That’s all we ask,” he said.

At the same event, Trump signed three new executive orders focused on artificial intelligence:

1. National AI Strategy – “Winning the Race”:

This order lays out a plan to speed up AI development in the U.S. It aims to remove barriers, support faster construction of data centers, and help companies build the infrastructure needed for AI progress.

2. Political Neutrality in AI:

Another order targets companies that receive federal funding for AI projects. These companies must now create AI tools that are politically neutral. Trump criticized what he called “woke” AI and said such bias hurts innovation. He claimed the previous administration’s focus on diversity and inclusion slowed AI progress.

3. Unbiased Government AI Systems:

The new rules also apply to AI used in government agencies, requiring them to be accurate and free from political or ideological bias.

“We are getting rid of woke,” Trump said, emphasizing that AI should be based on facts, not ideology.

Trump also said that he doesn’t like the term “artificial intelligence,” suggesting it doesn’t fully capture the power of the technology. “It’s not artificial, it’s genius,” he remarked.

The third executive order he signed focuses on helping U.S.-made AI tools compete on a global level. It also promotes to exporting American AI products and supports building the entire AI ecosystem with known as full-stack development and within the U.S.

While these moves may not have an immediate effect, they signal a future where Indian IT professionals and outsourcing companies could face more restrictions when working with U.S. tech firms.
