Our mission
FM News aims to publish unbiased, factual, and fast news. We report what happened, as accurately as we can establish it, and we keep our reporting separate from opinion, advertising, and commercial interests.
Sourcing and verification
We check facts against at least two independent sources where possible and prefer primary and official sources, such as official statements, documents, and direct accounts from people involved. We verify information before publication. Where a fact is uncertain, disputed, or still developing, we say so clearly rather than guessing or presenting speculation as fact.
Corrections
When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Where a correction is material, we add a correction note to the article. Readers can report errors to us at [email protected], and we will review reported errors promptly.
News and opinion
News and opinion are kept clearly separate. Opinion pieces, columns, and commentary are clearly labelled as opinion and reflect the views of their authors, not necessarily the views of FM News.
Originality and attribution
We do not publish plagiarised material. We do not fabricate quotes, figures, scores, or other facts. We attribute information to its source and give credit where it is due.
Bylines and dates
Articles carry bylines and publish dates so readers can see who wrote a story and when it was published.
Sensitive topics
We handle sensitive topics, including crime, accidents, and deaths, with care. We avoid gratuitous graphic detail and we respect the privacy of victims and of minors. We do not publish unnecessary personal details about victims or minors.
Advertising
Advertising on FM News is labelled as Advertisement. Advertising does not influence our editorial decisions, and advertisers do not determine what we publish or how we report a story.
Complaints and grievance contact
For complaints or grievances about our content, please contact our Grievance Officer, Hiten Vats, at [email protected], or by post at FM News Office, A-60 Sector 58, Noida, Uttar Pradesh – 201301.
